About
Indigo Paper Goods is the stationery company of graphic designer Barbara Wade. Born and raised in Southern California, she graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. After spending 10 years as a designer and patternmaker she decided to chart a new course and landed in a small town in the mountains of southwest Colorado. After spending a few years developing and baking desserts for a fine dining restaurant, she launched her graphic design company, Spare Design, in 2001. Although she loves working with all of her great clients she needed an outlet that was all her own, and so, Indigo Paper Goods was born.
When designing, Barbara is inspired by beautiful textiles, great interior & fashion design, and the gorgeous mountains that surround her home. When she is not consumed with new ideas she loves to cook, hang out and laugh with great friends, or try to find time to curl up with a good book.
We believe in leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible. We use the most eco-friendly products we can find. Our cards are printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper. We use vegetable-based inks for all our cards, as this ink biodegrades almost four times faster than petroleum based inks, and makes it easier to recycle paper. The cards are printed in the USA using 100% renewable energy. Our shipping supplies have recycled content, which varies by product.
